A new book focusing on how smartphones have changed – or not changed – society and people, explores the this debate through a critical progressive lens.

Nicole Aschoff, editor-at-large of Jacobin Magazine, where she writes about capitalism, technology and labor. Her earlier book is called The New Prophets of Capital. Her latest book is The Smartphone Society: Technology, Power and Resistance in the New Gilded Age.
