FEATURING SIR RICHARD J. EVANS – Americans have descended into a mass collective trauma over the past several months since the election. The rise of anti-Semitism and white nationalist hate groups coinciding with Trump’s tenure has also provoked a fear of fascism in the US. While it seems far-fetched to imagine a dictatorial era emerging out of Trump, it can be a useful exercise to examine history and learn in particular from what emerged in Germany before World War II.
