FEATURING GAWAIN KRIPKE – As global corporate elites and heads of state gather for their annual celebration of capitalism in the ski resort of Davos, Switzerland, Oxfam has released a new report on wealth inequality. The report, entitled, An Economy for the 99%, finds that, “large corporations and the super-rich are driving the inequality crisis.”

One fact that jumps out is that “[e]ight men now own the same amount of wealth as the poorest half of the world.” Among them some familiar names such as Warren Buffet, Mark Zuckerberg, and Bill Gates.”
