FEATURING JULIA MELTZER and DALYA ZENO – As the US entrenches itself deeper into the war in Syria under the Trump administration, Syrian refugees continue to be neglected and reviled. Here in the US, only a small number of refugees from Syria have been admitted compared to other countries and the challenges they face are often ignored.

Now a new documentary sheds light on one refugee family that moved to Los Angeles in 2012 and how they have coped in a new land. Dalya’s Other Country will air on PBS starting June 26 and touches on issues of war, immigration, religion, gender, and much more.

Film premieres on PBS stations on June 26th. Check local listings at www.pbs.org/pov/dalyasothercountry.

Julia Meltzer, filmmaker of Dalya’s Other Country, Dalya Zeno, the subject of the documentary.
